Màxim Huerta looks for happiness in “La noche soñada”

A story about always looking for happiness. This is what the reader can find in “La noche soñada”, the last Maxim’s Huerta novel and the “Premio Primavera de novela 2014”.

Through its pages, the reader will meet the story about Justo, a twelve year old child who lives with his parents and his aunts. A trip beside the main character that started the 1980 Sant Joan’s eve.

The most magical night of the year everything is ready in Calabella to recieve Ava Gadner, who is going to inaugurate the summer cinema of the village. But this day something that will change Justo’s and his family life happens: Justo’s father dies.

This is the starting point of an apparently current story about a child who became adult without his father. A story explained by the main character where not everything is what it seems like.

“La noche soñada” is a must for every book lover. A novel that shows another face of Maxim Huerta and explains a story about the biggest love that any person can feel: the mother’s one. It’s a book that you can’t stop reading from the first page to the last one. It’s not until the end when the reader finds out the secret that has concerned the main character since that 1980 Sant Joan’s eve. That night when Justo decided not only to make a wish, but also change the destiny of his family.
